Alison Pill

Pill was a producer in her home province of Canada which took several years to get her first appearance before she made her debut in the American market. An example of this was an episode of the Canadian series Traders in which she starred Bruce Gray. Pill was offered a part on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation starring Wallace Langham, Liz Vassey, and Michael Ensign, in the episode "Would, Could, Shoulda", co-written and starred with Naren Shakar. Pill, who had worked in Picard for the previous year, was then a guest part of the character on Devs a science-fiction mini-series made by FX Productions and Hulu. She played the exact same role, Katie, in each episode, much like she had in Picard. The similarities with Picard didn't stop there because the main theme of Devs was revealed to revolve around the preservation of a conscious within an artificial structure, similar to that which Data was preserved during the revelation during the Picard season one's finale "Et the In Arcadia Ego Part 2".
